Undergraduate Programs Registration Guide for Turkish Citizens

IBN HALDUN UNIVERSITY

REGISTRATION PERIOD PROCEDURES

FOR THE 2024-2025 ACADEMIC YEAR

Students admitted to the undergraduate programs of our University according to the evaluation results (YKS), are expected to complete their registrations personally at Ibn Haldun University, which is located in Başakşehir Campus.

Students who have completed their electronic registration process must submit their registration documents in person to the Department of Student Affairs by September 30, 2024, at the latest.

We kindly request you to view our academic calendar for the important dates regarding the university's processes.

Electronic Registrations

Electronic registrations will be carried out between 19-21 August 2024. Students who are placed in our University by ÖSYM can complete their university registration process from the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education section by logging in to www.turkiye.gov.tr with their e-Government passwords without coming to the University (You can access the service by typing "E-Registration" in the In-Site Search box and pressing the search button, then clicking on the "University E-Registration (Presidency of the Council of Higher Education)" link in the list that comes up).

In-Person Registration

For in-person registration, students must come to Ibn Haldun University Başakşehir Campus between 19-23 August 2024 and complete the registration process. Students who come to registration other than the date range determined by ÖSYM cannot be registered.

Required Documents for Registration

  • Original high school diploma and its copy
  • YKS result document
  • YKS preference list
  • YKS placement certificate
  • Original and photocopy of identity card/national ID card
  • Four passport size photographs taken within the last six months
  • Military Status Certificate (For male students who need to apply to the military branch)
  • Language Proficiency Certificate (The adequacy of the foreign language level of the students is determined by the Foreign Language Proficiency Exam or by certifying that they are successful at the level determined by one of the international/national language exams accepted by YÖK and the Senate of our University).
  • KVKK Declaration Form

Important Information

  • Students have to show up personally for registration. Postal service is not allowed.
  • Unapproved copies or photocopies of the documents required for registration are not accepted.
  • Registration cannot be made with incomplete or falsified documents.
  • Candidates not registered between the specified dates cannot claim any rights.
  • Necessary legal proceedings are initiated against candidates who register by making false statements.
  • Upon completing your registration, an e-mail address will be created on your behalf. Since all announcements and notifications of the University will be made to this address, it is essential to follow your e-mail constantly.

Preparatory Programs

Our University has a compulsory English Preparatory Program and an optional Arabic Preparatory Program for all undergraduate programs.

Undergraduate students who do not submit one of the proficiency documents that will provide exemption from the English Preparatory Program must take the Placement Test to determine their English language level and be placed in classes appropriate to their level. Students who think they are at the beginner level must also take the Placement Test; otherwise, they will not be included in the English Preparatory Program.

The English Proficiency Exam will take place between 2-6 September, 2024. Detailed information will soon be provided by the School of Languages.

The Placement Test will be conducted online, and the exam information will be sent to our students by the School of Foreign Languages via the e-mail addresses provided by our University. If you are exempt from the English Preparatory Program, you must indicate your request to be included in the Arabic Preparatory Program or to start the undergraduate program in the Optional Preparatory Form and send the form to ogrenciisleri@ihu.edu.tr.

All students who are registered in our University and want to study in the Arabic Preparatory Program by being exempt from the English Preparatory Program must take the online Placement Test. Students who think they are at the beginner level must also take this exam.

Information Services

Our University allocates an e-mail account for all registered students. You can access the wireless network and all the systems related to you as a student, such as library databases and student information systems. The username and password of your e-mail account are the same as those of all other systems you will be using at the University.

Our University provides e-mail service through Gmail. You can reach your e-mails at gmail.com

Your e-mail account will be created in the format of name.surname@stu.ihu.edu.tr. Your default password is your Foreigner ID number. To activate your account, the password is needed to be changed. You can change your password through the link below:

After the password change, access to services such as e-mail services will be automatically activated. The new password will also apply to all services accessed with your username and password.

The students with more than one name must specify their name preference during registration.
