APPLICATIONS OF UNDERGRADUATE TRANSFER AND STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL STATUS FROM UKRAINE HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

In accordance with the meeting decision of the General Council of Higher Education dated 28.03.2022  regarding the students of Turkish or international whom studying in higher education institutions in Ukraine to continue their education as transfer students and students with special status in our countries’ universities due to the war between Ukraine-Russia, transfer and studentship with special status processes are made between equivalent diploma programs of higher education institutions at the same level and within the framework of the quotas approved by The Council of Higher Education. The students who will be transfer students or students with special status are obliged to pay the tuition fee in the relevant academic year.

Application Requirements:

  1. Being a registered student in formal education programs of higher education institutions in Ukraine,
  2. Recognition of higher education institutions in Ukraine by the Higher Education Council in our country,
  3. To have the certificate of English proficiency,
  4. Meeting with the requirements stated in the relevant decision of the General Council of Higher Education dated 28.03.2022.

In addition to the general application requirements above, for transfer applications to the Law and Psychological Counseling and Guidence Programs, the ÖSYS/YKS ranking of the relevant year is required.

The types of exams required for English proficiency and their scores are shown below, and applicants who do not have a English proficiency document must take the English proficiency exam (IHU ITEX) of our University on the dates specified in the Application-Acceptance calendar.

Application and registration procedures will be done in person, and the documents must be submitted to Department of Student Affairs within working hours that are on our Başakşehir Campus.

Required Documents for Application:

  • Entry-Exit Records from General Directorate of Security
  • Turkish Republic ID card/Passport
  • Original High School Diploma
  • Student Certificate
  • Transcript
  • Syllabuses
  • ÖSYS/YKS Central Placement Score
  • Document Indicating Discipline Status
  • English Proficiency Certificate (if any)
  • Recognition/Equivalency Certificate
  • 4 portrait photographs (Taken in last 6 months)

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  • In order for Turkish students to transfer from higher education institutions abroad to higher education institutions in Turkey, they must meet the conditions specified in the ÖSYS/YKS guide in the relevant year.
  • English or Turkish translations of documents to be obtained from higher education institutions abroad must be submitted.
  • The registration date for the program must be clearly stated (month/day/year) in the documents to be obtained from Higher Education institutions abroad.
  • If the documents submitted during the transfer registration process cannot be confirmed/proven as original until August 31, 2022, the registration status of the students will be updated as “students with special status”.
